Rotary screen PO

Application
Rotary screens are designed for sifting molding sands as well as fresh and broken molding sand. They are used in processing stations for molding sands and in preparation stations for core masses.

Principle of operation
Screening takes place while the screened material is moved along the entire length of the rotary drum screens. This movement takes place along two axis.
Movement in the longitudinal axis of the drum axis is caused by the convergence of the drum walls (truncated pyramid). The movement in the drum rotation plane is caused by centrifugal force and frictional force.
After rotation by a certain angle, the gravity of the material counteracts further movement of the material around the perimeter of the drum and the material is pushed downwards, which at the convergence of the drum causes it to flow within its longitudinal axis.
The sifting is poured out of the drum from the larger base of the pyramid after the entire length of the pyramid. The material to be screened is delivered to the rotary screen with a conveyor belt or bucket elevator
