APPLICATION
The swing grinders are designed for finish grinding of large castings, the size and mass of which makes it impossible to manoeuvre them by hand during the finishing process. By way of grinding are removed trappings, risers and other surface irregularities. The grinders can be used both for iron and steel castings provided that proper grinding wheel is applied.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The grinder should be suspended by the lifting lug in the most appropriate position in relation to the castings being worked which are located on a suitable platform or table or fastened in a clamping device. The lifting sling holder position is adjustable in the horizontal plane to make it possible to balance the grinder as the grinding wheel wears out. The operator holds the grinder with two hands by the handles and manoeuvers the whole machine. The grinder arm together with the head can be inclined to the left or right from perpendicular by 90 deg. to make it possible to match the grinder position to the worked surface irregularities. The locking system which is operated with the lever provided on the grinder head enables the grinding wheel to be fixed in the required position.
The grinder is equipped with an extraction nozzle for connecting to the dust extraction system.
